On February 21, 2010, VIET-CARE hosted its 1st Annual Dinner to Honor & Celebrate Vietnamese-American Human Services Professionals and Organizations whose works illustrate commitment to empowerment, advocacy, collaboration, and education to improve the lives of Vietnamese suffering from mental illness.

Viet-CARE Mental Health Symposium for Religious/ Community Leaders

Viet-CARE Mental Health Symposium for Religious/ Community Leaders on May 2, 2009 at Bao Nguoi Viet. More than 150 participants attended the symposium. Many more could not attend the symposium because there were no more parking space available. The large turn out affirmed the community's needs and concerns about the lack of mental health education and conferences in Vietnamese for the Vietnamese community. The whole symposium was conducted in Vietnamese.

Community Panelists sharing their different and common experiences working with individuals in the community suffering from mental illness. The needs for more Vietnamese Mental Health Professionals and services were echoed by each community panelist.
